"Greeting Hoots fans! We just wanted to let you all know that we're still here after a rather tumultuous year. We've had to deal with some personal tragedies and lineup changes, but we're on our way back."
To start, we'd like to say thank you to Roland Stader for holding down the drums and percussion in the first incarnation of the band. Roland is a sensational drummer and brought a lot to The Hoots as we went through our formative phase. We wish Roland all the best in his next endeavors.
On that note, we'd like to welcome Barry Bates to the band as our new drummer/percussionist. Barry comes to us from Texas and has a long history of performing and recording with many well-known artists.
We're in the process of recording some of our songs, so standby for new music in the very near future. We're also starting to book some shows for the latter half of the year, so be on the lookout for upcoming gigs!"
